New Hyde Park Firefighters Welcome Home Soldier-Firefighter
Dolans help welcome back Army Lt. Steven R. Liguori from Afghanistan.
Local firefighters from Lynbrook and New Hyde Park were on hand Feb. 1 to welcome back one of their own from overseas deployment in Afghanistan.
New Hyde Park Fire Department Commissioner Michael Dolan, a wounded Vietnam Veteran, his son, firefighter Brian Dolan, a Marine veteran, and members of the Lynbrook Fire Department’s Tally-Ho Engine Co 3 firehouse,helped to greet Lynbrook firefighter and US Army First Lieutenant Steven R. Liguori home from a year in Afghanistan.
The Dolans joined with other firefighters who are members of Nassau County Firefighters Operation Wounded Warrior and who regularly attend welcome back ceremonies for returning war veterans.
