New Hyde Park Memorial Journalism Students Win 2013 Quill Awards
Chariot writers win three awards at Adelphi University High School Newspaper Competition.
On Wednesday, March 20, students from New Hyde Park Memorial High School’s school newspaper, The Chariot attended the Adelphi University Quill Awards High School Newspaper Competition.
This competition includes high schools from all over Long Island and recognizes outstanding achievement in student reporting.

- Senior Tim Foley earned 2nd place honors for best sports story
- Senior Haley Spielberg earned 2nd place honors for best features story
- Senior Tomasz Pietruszka earned 2nd place honors for best newspaper web site
The group had previously also taken home awards at C.W. Post on March 1.
