New Hyde Park Memorial Students Raise Money for Muscular Dystrophy
Members of builder's club raise $400 to help send a Long Island child to camp.
The Builder’s Club of New Hyde Park Memorial High School recently participated in “Shamrocks for Muscular Dystrophy.”
This St. Patrick’s Week fundraiser, which raised $400 this year, is an annual fundraiser for New Hyde Park’s Builders Club. The money raised will help fund camp for a child on Long Island who suffers froma neuromuscular disease.
This year, 7th and 8th graders were especially generous in baking and providing lots of goodies that have been encouraging New Hyde Park students and staff to donate towards thisvery worthy cause.

Students have been working every lunch period this week and have demonstrated great responsibility, care and concern for their community – key fundamentals to the club. The club’s advisor is Gina Rodriguez.
