NHP Park to Be Renovated in Memory of Founding Chamber Member

The Greater New Hyde Park Chamber of Commerce will use a $2,956.3 grant to make the renovations.

The Greater New Hyde Park Chamber of Commerce was recently awarded a $2,956.3 grant that will go towards renovating a local park in memory of an influential member of the community.

The Town of North Hempstead Business & Tourism Development Corp. awarded the chamber the matching grant on March 17.

The park, located near North 3rd Street and Hillside Avenue, will be dedicated to the late Angela Powers, who was the founding member of the chamber and a resident of New Hyde Park.
