NHP Virtual Enterprise Students 'Go To Work' Instead Of Class

The students recently won awards at a trade show competition at LIU Post.

On Wednesday, Jan. 9, the Virtual Enterprise class at New Hyde Park Memorial High School attended a trade show competition at LIU Post. As a first-year firm, T. Merchant, a tea business, did an exceptional job of presenting its business plan which outlined its business model, product line and opportunities for the future. The firm received a gold medal for its creation of an employee handbook. In addition, it received silver certificates for its professionally created website and creative branding strategies.

The Virtual Enterprise class is in its first year at New Hyde Park Memorial, and the students are enjoying the experience of “going to work” instead of “going to class.” Congratulations, T. Merchant, and good luck at the next trade show in April!
