North Hempstead's Polar Plunge Will Be A 'Polar Spray'
The event takes place Saturday in Port Washington.

Saturday’s Polar Plunge is set for North Hempstead Beach Park, with one modification. Because of the ice in Hempstead Harbor, rather than plunging, participants will take part in what officials are calling the “Ultimate Polar Spray!”
The Port Washington Fire Department will be spraying its fire hose all over participants at 12 p.m.
