Northwell Direct Announces New Chief Operating Officer

In an important addition to its executive team, Northwell Direct, a Northwell Health company, announced that Jillian Jweinat has joined the direct-to-employer health services company as vice president and chief operating officer. She comes to Northwell Direct from Aetna, a CVS Health Company, where she served as chief strategy and business planning officer within its local-markets organization.

Ms. Jweinat will guide operations and service delivery across all Northwell Direct’s lines of business. These include at-work solutions, such as COVID-19 testing, occupational health and safety services, and wellness and behavioral health programs; network solutions, through which self-insured employers can offer their employees health care benefits and lease a high-performing network of nearly 20,000 providers; and health and safety advisory services, including clinical consulting.

Ms. Jweinat joins Northwell Direct with experience in multiple aspects of health care delivery. During her tenure at Aetna, she led integration planning for CVS Health’s $69 billion acquisition of the health insurance company. She previously held positions at Deloitte Consulting and at Yale New Haven Health System. She received an MBA from Yale University and a Master of Science in Health Systems Management from Rush University.
