NEW HYDE PARK, NY – New Hyde Park Memorial High School will be closed on Tuesday and Wednesday this week after a staff member tested positive for COVID-19.

School officials announced on Monday that all high school faculty and staff will work remotely Tuesday and Wednesday, and instruction for students will be given remotely as well.

The building will remains closed as it is cleaned and disinfected.

The two-day closure also allows contact tracing to take place. Once the contact tracing is completed, school officials said they will be able to notify the high school how long the closure will last.
