Operation 'Clean Sweep' Coming To A NHP Block Near You
Residents should refrain from parking on town roads from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. during the cleaning. Check out the full schedule.

Street sweepers will hit the roads in Nw Hyde Park for some "spring cleaning" for three days in April.
Crews from the Town of North Hempstead will clean up the remaining debris this winter left behind in the annual Operation: Clean Sweep. It is a two week initiative that will sweep every inch of road in North Hempstead.
“Operation Clean Sweep returns to North Hempstead as street sweepers will take to the roads to clean up all the dirt that has been left behind this winter on our roadways,” Town Supervisor Judi Bosworth said in a press release. “This is especially important with all the debris created from the Nor’easters this winter.”

North Hempstead's "Clean Sweep" program begins Monday, April 23, and runs through Friday, May 4. Sweepers will be in the New Hyde Park area on Tuesday, April 24 to Thursday, April 26. See the full schedule below for details.
The Town of North Hempstead asks that residents refrain from parking vehicles on town roads from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. during the cleaning. Businesses are asked to keep their cars off the road from 4 a.m. to 6 a.m. Following these parking requests will ensure that the roads are cleaned as thoroughly as possible, the Town says.

All areas not within incorporated villages and south of the Long Island Expressway will be swept from Monday, April 23 to Friday, April 27. All areas not within incorporated villages and north of the Long Island Expressway will be swept from Monday, April 30 to Friday, May 4.
Dates are subject to change based on weather conditions and volume of debris.

- Garden City Park: from Mineola High School and heading west
- Stewart Avenue Section: from North New Hyde Park, continuing west of Denton Avenue
- New Hyde Park: west of Denton Ave. and south of Hillside Ave., including Barwick, Willis, Cherry and McKee.
Friday, April 27
- Touching up, cleaning up and spot sweeping where necessary
Monday, April 30
- Port Washington: east side of Port Washington Blvd., beginning in New Salem, and heading north, west side of Port Washington Blvd., beginning at Marino Ave. and heading north.
