Pedestrian Hit By Car In Nassau, Hospitalized: Police

Police say a 67-year-old woman was hit by a car and suffered severe head injuries.

NEW HYDE PARK, NY — A pedestrian was hit by a car Tuesday morning in New Hyde Park and had to be taken to a hospital.

Around 6:30 a.m. Tuesday, A 59-year-old woman was driving a 2013 Honda CRV north on New Hyde Park Road when she hit a 67-year-old woman who was on the roadway near the intersection of Plaza Avenue, police said.

The pedestrian suffered severe head injuries and was taken Nassau County police ambulance to a hospital for treatment. The driver stayed at the scene.
