PJ Connell of Floral Park, NY Wins NYS AWWA Award

August 31, 2020; Floral Park, NY – During a virtual ceremony, the New York State American Water Works Association (NYSAWWA) presented PJ Connell, P.E. of Floral Park, NY, an engineer with Woodbury, NY-based D&B Engineers and Architects, P.C., with the Young Professional of the Year for a Consultant Award. NYSAWWA presents this award to the “the finest young water professionals who demonstrate excellence, creativity and initiative in their profession, provide valuable service by contributing time and energy to the NYSAWWA and the water community, and who serve as role models for young water professionals.”

“It is particularly inspiring to be recognized by fellow professionals in the field you love and have chosen as a career,” Mr. Connell stated. “To receive this award, considering the depth of the candidates and in view of what the NYSAWWA organization stands for, is humbling.”

Mr. Connell graduated from the State University of New York College of Environmental Science and Forestry (SUNY ESF) with a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Resources Engineering. He joined D&B Engineers and Architects, P.C.’s Water Supply Division as an engineer in 2015. A National Association of Corrosion Engineers (NACE) Level 2 Certified Coating Inspector, Mr. Connell actively gives back with guest lectures on potable water systems at his alma mater, Oceanside Senior High School.
