Services Set For Fallen FDNY Firefighter From Long Island

Michael Davidson, 37, is survived by his wife and four children.

Visitation and funeral services have been set for Michael Davidson, a FDNY firefighter from Floral Park who was killed in a Harlem fire on Thursday night.

Davidson was a 15-year FDNY veteran of Engine Company 69 in Manhattan and had been cited for bravery and life-saving actions four times in his career. He is survived by his wife, Eileen, three daughters, ages 7, 3, and 1 and a son, 6.

Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. on both Sunday and Monday at Thomas F. Dalton Funeral Home, located at 29 Atlantic Ave. in Floral Park.

Funeral mass will take place at 10 a.m. on Tuesday at St. Patrick's Cathedral, located at Fifth Avenue in New York City.

Cremation will take place at 12:30 p.m.on Tuesday at Green-Wood Cemetery, located at 500 25th St. in Brooklyn.

Davidson comes from a family of firefighters, officials said. His father Robert was a 26-year veteran of the FDNY and his brother Eric is an 11-year veteran of fire engine 88 in the Bronx, officials said.
