Tuesday's forecast for New Hyde Park calls for snow, mainly before 4 p.m. Accumulations of 3 to 5 inches are possible, according to the National Weather Service.

A winter weather advisory remains in effect until 5 p.m. The advisory is issued whenever periods of snow, sleet or freezing rain cause travel difficulties.

The next chance for snow is Saturday.
