Students Enjoy Turkey Trot in New Hyde Park

Participating students donated nonperishable food for families in need during the holidays.

The Third Annual Turkey Trot took place at Manor Oaks on Nov. 21, with students competing in a race, or participating for fun – their choice.

Organized by physical education teacher Lisa Santos, the event was held on the school field.

Children also had the option to dress up as turkeys, Pilgrims, or Native Americans as part of a costume contest. All race and costume contest winners received an extra physical education class.
