2,020 Bulbs Planted in 2020 Bloom In New Rochelle School Colors

Hard work and a donation of 2,020 tulip bulbs from last year to honor the NRHS coronavirus-restricted graduating class pays off beautifully.

NEW ROCHELLE, NY — The hard work of volunteers in October of last year is paying off in a beautiful way on the New Rochelle High School campus. Thousands of new spring tulip blooms in school colors are offering a temporary, but recurring tribute to the graduating class of 2020.

The graduates missed out on many of the traditional events and rites of passage for seniors because of emergency coronavirus restrictions last year. The springtime displays of nature’s elegance are intended to pay homage to these pandemic-disrupted alumni for years to come.
