More than 150 craft projects – paper cups decorated with stickers and filled with flowering plants – were created at the Huguenot Children’s Library Saturday afternoon as part of Family Fun Day. The afternoon party kicked off the 15th anniversary of the Huguenot Children's Library, which opened its doors in 1997. The non-profit Partnership for the Huguenot Children’s Library sponsored Family Fun Day, which featured free musical entertainment by Zev Haber, free crafts and refreshments as well as story times.
“May 7th through 13th is Children’s Book Week, so we thought it was the perfect time to kick off our celebration,” says Lisa Bonalle, President of the PHCL. “The Huguenot Children’s Library continues to be a vital hub of reading, learning and creativity for the children of New Rochelle.”
The PHCL’s popular Old Fashioned Summer Fun program will return Monday, June 26th and run through August, offering supervised activities and access to play equipment for children aged three and up. The program will operate Mondays through Fridays from 10 am to 4:30 pm. (Please note that children are required to be accompanied by a parent or caregiver.)
