Coastal Flood Advisory Issued For Parts Of Hudson Valley

Rain is headed to the Hudson Valley Sunday.

With rain in the forecast for Sunday night, the National Weather Service has issued a coastal flood advisory for part of the Hudson Valley. It is in effect from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday for southern Westchester County.

There could be up to 1 foot of inundation above ground level in low-lying areas near shorelines and tidal waterways.

Some roads and low-lying properties including parking lots, parks, lawns and homes and businesses with basements near the waterfront will experience shallow flooding.

Minor coastal flooding and additional beach erosion are also possible around the times of high tide from Sunday night through Monday night.
