Coastal Flood Statement Issued For Southern Westchester

SOUTHERN WESTCHESTER, NY — With heavy rain in the forecast overnight, the National Weather Service has issued a coastal flood statement for parts of the Hudson Valley.

The statement is in effect from 11 p.m. Friday to 3 a.m. Saturday for southern Westchester County.

The weather service said up to 1 foot of inundation above ground level is expected in vulnerable areas near the waterfront and shoreline.

Brief minor flooding of the more vulnerable locations may be impacted.

Motorists are reminded not to drive through flooded roadways.
