CT Man Accused Of Driving 3 Times Over Legal Alcohol Limit

Police said he was initially pulled over for vehicle and traffic violations.

NEW ROCHELLE, NY — A Connecticut man was accused of driving more than three times over the legal limit of alcohol.

The New York State Police said Olvin D. Discua-Elvir, 37, of Stamford, Connecticut, was stopped while driving on I-95 in New Rochelle for multiple vehicle and traffic violations.

He was found to be intoxicated, police said.

Discua-Elvir was arrested and taken to the New Rochelle barracks where his blood alcohol content was determined to be 0.25 percent.

He was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor, and several vehicle and traffic violations.

Discua-Elvir was turned over to a sober third party and released on appearance tickets. He is scheduled to return to the City of New Rochelle Court Dec. 1.
