Shakespeare Film Festival

A free film series featuring cinematic versions of Shakespeare’s work with interpretive discussions led by Iona College Professors John Mahon and Tom Pendleton, co-editor of The Shakespeare Newsletter,  and Prof. Amy Stackhouse. Films will be shown at 7 pm in the Ossie Davis Theater.  Offered as part of the Sound Shore Shakespeare Festival. Visit www.nrpl.org for details.

Thursday, April 7 :  The classic 1936 version of “Romeo and  Juliet” starring Leslie Howard and Norma Shearer, hosted by    Prof. Thomas Pendleton, co-editor of The Shakespeare Newsletter.

Thursday, April 28 :  Franco Zeffirelli’s 1968 production of “Romeo and Juliet” hosted by Prof. Thomas Pendleton with Prof. John Mahon, co-editors of The Shakespeare Newsletter.
