Heavy rainfall through Saturday could mean the possibility of coastal flooding. The National Weather Service issued a coastal flood advisory from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday for southern Westchester County.

Flooding could happen at high tide during the time frame, weather experts said.

Shallow flooding is expected in the more vulnerable locations near the waterfront and shoreline.

Some roads and low-lying properties including parking lots, parks, lawns and home and businesses with basements near the waterfront will experience shallow flooding.

Breaking surf of 1 to 3 feet may result in beach erosion and wave splash-over onto shoreline roads and properties.
