Funeral Services Announced For Valaree Megan Schwab
Schwab was described as a political activist who rallied friends to fight injustice.

NEW ROCHELLE, NY — Funeral arrangements have been made for the 16-year-old New Rochelle High School student who was stabbed and killed Wednesday in the Dunkin’ Donuts on North Avenue in New Rochelle. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated for Valaree Megan Schwab at 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 15 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Pelham.
Arrangements are under the care of Pelham Funeral Home.
According to her obituary, Schawb had lived in New Rochelle for most of her life.

She was a junior at the high school who was taking advance placement and honors classes.
Schwab was “an outspoken political activist who rallied friends together to fight injustice.”

An avid musician, she enjoyed playing guitar and writing her own songs.
Schwab is survived by her father Christopher Schwab; her mother Karen Schwab; sister Brittney Schwab and brother Austin Corbett as well as grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and a niece and nephew.
