Hazardous Winds, Heavy Rain In Hudson Valley Forecast
Depending on one's location, wind gusts from 50 to 65 mph could be possible.

HUDSON VALLEY, NY — High wind warnings have been issued for parts of the Hudson Valley. For southern Westchester County, the watch is in effect from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday.
It calls for southerly winds 30 to 40 mph, with gusts up to 65 mph.
For Orange, Putnam, Rockland and northern Westchester, the warning is in effect from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday and calls for southerly winds 25 to 35 mph, with gusts up to 60 mph.

For Columbia, Dutchess and Ulster counties, there is a wind advisory in effect from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday. It calls for southerly winds 15 to 30 mph, with gusts up to 50 mph.
The National Weather Service said damaging winds could blow down trees and power lines. Even sturdy and well-secured tent structures could be damaged.

Widespread power outages are possible, and travel could be difficult, especially for high-profile vehicles.
The weather service's forecast for southern Westchester calls for rain Sunday, mainly after 4 a.m. The low will be around 53.
Winds from the south will be 13 to 15 mph. Precipitation between a quarter and half inch is possible.
For Monday, we can expect showers and possibly a thunderstorm. Meteorologists said some of the storms could produce heavy rainfall.
The high Monday will be in the mid-60s. Winds will be strong with heavy gusts.
New rainfall amounts could be between 1 and 2 inches.
