Patch: How long have you been doing business in town?

Mercado: Our center has been open for seven months, since May 2018. The company as a whole has been around for over 10 years.

Patch: What attracted you to the line of work you’re in, and how did you get started?

Mercado: Helping women look and feel their best is what attracted me to this business. The thanks and smiles I receive after our guests leave the center are what continue to keep me here.

Patch: If you had to sum up your business mission to a stranger in five words, what would those words be?

Mercado: I can sum it up in three words: Revealing beautiful skin.

Patch: What’s the biggest challenge or most difficult moment you’ve faced in your job?

Mercado: The biggest challenge I face is trying to accommodate all of our guests. Fortunately, I have a great team to help make sure our guests leave having had the ultimate wax experience.

Patch: What’s the most satisfying part of your job?

Mercado: The most satisfying part of my job is when I see a guest strut out of our center, feeling more confident about their skin than when they came in.

Patch: How would you say your business or organization distinguishes itself from the others?

Mercado: Our business is different because all of our wax specialists are true skincare experts. They are estheticians that really take the time to evaluate skincare needs and make the appropriate recommendations. They take their time and make sure that all of our guests leave with picture perfect eyebrows or silky smooth legs.

Patch: What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given when it comes to success?

Mercado: The best piece of advice I’ve ever been given is to “build a great team.” Success isn’t something you can achieve by yourself. The amazing team of wax specialists and guest service associates that we have at our center are the ones that have contributed the most to our success.

Patch: Are there any new projects or endeavors you’re working on that you’re extra excited about?

Mercado: In 2019, we hope to expand our product portfolio and introduce new ways to thank our guests for being the best!
