LawnChair Theatre Announces Park Venues For Summer Performances

The popular youth stage ensemble has announced five Westchester locations for outdoor performances of "A Midsummer Night's Queen."

WESTCHESTER, NY — Back for its 16th season, the LawnChair Theatre has announced the venues and dates for a musical adaptation of Shakespeare’s “A Midsummer Night’s Dream.”

“A Midsummer Night’s Queen" will feature, you guessed it, the music of Queen. The traveling stage show will showcase 23 local performers and a crew of dozens more behind the scenes.

The musical was adapted and directed by veteran theater actor and director Mat Young. Music arrangements were crafted by The Who’s legendary global tour conductor and Broadway veteran Keith Levenson.

This year, LawnChair audiences are invited to support the production by “adopting” favorite parts of the show. “Visual Aid” donations will support set design, costumes and lighting. “Roll Aid” donations will help with transportation and travel. “Band Aid” donations will benefit musicians and equipment.
