Mount Vernon Man Arrested For Abducting Ex in New Rochelle: Cops
A 32-year-old woman was taken from her home against her will by her ex-boyfriend early Monday morning, New Rochelle police say.

NEW ROCHELLE, NY — A scary situation was resolved safely after police in New Rochelle were called to the scene of a reported abduction.
Just before 5:30, Friday morning, New Rochelle police were called to a home on Leviness Place. A 32-year-old woman was abducted from her home by her ex-boyfriend Delmar Findlay about an hour earlier, police said. The 40-year-old Mount Vernon resident then reportedly fled the scene with his victim in tow.
Investigators narrowed Findlay's location down to a home on Hillside Ave. in Mount Vernon. After obtaining both a search warrant and an arrest warrant, the suspect was taken into custody by New Rochelle police officers and Mount Vernon police officers.

The victim was found safe inside the Hillside Ave. home. She was, however, injured during the struggle. Police report that she suffered abrasions on the top of her feet.
Authorities believe Findlay will be charged in Mount Vernon on an active warrant as well as charges related to the alleged abduction. He will then be handed over to New Rochelle police at a later time for charges related to the abduction in their jurisdiction.
