New Rochelle Jazz Festival

Annual festival returns July 14th through 17th

The New Rochelle Jazz Festival, held each July, links New Rochelle to its sister city of La Rochelle, France, which holds a “Jazz in August” music festival every year. The New Rochelle Jazz Festival is organized by Brian Carter and presented by the New Rochelle Council on the Arts; it is a program of the New Rochelle Sister City Initiative, co-sponsored by the New Rochelle BID and the City of New Rochelle Parks and Recreation Department.

This year the New Rochelle Jazz Festival kick off on Thursday and Friday evening with groups playing from 8 to 11 PM at two downtown hot spots, Jolo’s and Alvin and Friends. Then on Saturday and Sunday, groups will perform from 1 pm to 9:30 pm in Ruby Dee Park at Library Green. Admission is free.
