New Rochelle School Calendar 2018-19: First Day Of School, More

NEW ROCHELLE, NY — The first day of school in New Rochelle is September 5 — and whether you and the kids are looking forward to the new school year or are dreading the end of summer, you’ll want to mark the date on your calendar ASAP. The New Rochelle School District has released its 2018-2019 calendar for public schools.

The calendar includes important dates such as winter and spring vacations, religious holidays, federal holidays, early dismissals and parent-teacher conferences.

Here is the full list of dates to know for this school year:

• 9/5: Students' First Day (Half Day For Elementary Only)
• 9/10 - 9/11: No School (Rosh Hashanah)
• 9/19: No School (Yom Kippur)

October

• 10/1: Delayed Opening/Half Day
• 10/8: No School (Columbus Day)
• 10/10: Half Day (NRHS Only)
• 10/31: Rapid Dismissal

November

• 11/6: No School (Election Day)
• 11/12: No School (Veterans Day)
• 11/21 - 11/23: No School (Thanksgiving Break)

December

• 12/5: Half Day (Elementary Parent Teacher Conferences)
• 12/12: Half Day (Elementary Parent Teacher Conferences)
• 12/24 - 12/31: No School (Winter Break)

January

• 1/1: No School (Winter Break)
• 1/21: No School (Martin Luther King Jr. Day)

February
