New Rochelle Slashing Victim Knew His Attacker: Police

A 57-year-old New Rochelle man is recovering after being slashed on the face over the Fourth of July weekend, according to police.

NEW ROCHELLE, NY — A 57-year-old New Rochelle man is recovering after being slashed on the face over the Fourth of July weekend.

Police responding to an emergency call just before midnight on Friday found the injured man on the ground with a slash wound to his face near the 200 block of Union Avenue. The victim was conscious and able to tell police that he knew his attacker. He was taken to Jacobi Hospital in the Bronx for treatment.

No arrests have yet been announced in connection with the assault.
