New Ro's Smokehouse Tailgate Grill Closes
It is set to reopen sometime in the summer across North Avenue from its original location.

NEW ROCHELLE, NY — A burger, ribs and beer staple in New Rochelle has closed its doors. However, it will be reopening in the not-to-distant future. A post on Facebook of Smokehouse Tailgate Grill in New Rochelle on North Avenue said its 12-year run came to an end Dec. 8
"It will be a long winter, not being able to be at our home. Nothing will ever duplicate the original SmokeHouse, and we will remember it forever, but we look forward to opening our new location across the street at "The Rockwell" late spring/early summer of 2020," the post said.
The restaurant which still has a location in Mamaroneck will be the flagship restaurant for the new luxury apartment complex.
