Obituary: ​Irene Pompi, 93, Of New Rochelle

Irene Pompi, a longtime resident of New Rochelle, and former resident of East Harlem, NY, died on May 14, 2019. She was 93.

Irene was born on March 22, 1926, in NYC to the late Joseph and Rose DeNoia. She worked for many years for GHI and St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Yonkers. She was predeceased by her husband Frank Pompi who died in 2006.

She is survived by her son Joseph and his wife Dorothy; her brothers Joseph DeNoia and Robert DeNoia. She was predeceased by her brother Anthony DeNoia.

Visiting hours will be from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday at Lloyd Maxcy & Sons Beauchamp Chapel Inc., 16 Shea Pl., New Rochelle.

A funeral Mass is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Friday at Blessed Sacrament Church. Entombment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery.
