1 Killed, 4 Injured In Overnight Shootings In New Rochelle
Police say they were called to three reports of gunfire in New Rochelle this weekend. Overnight, a gunshot victim was killed and four hurt.

NEW ROCHELLE, NY — Police say a rash of gun violence in the city overnight culminated with the death of a Brooklyn man at the scene of a shooting in which four other victims were injured.
Just before midnight Saturday, police began receiving calls about gunshots near Horton Avenue and Brook Street. Cops found five gunshot victims when they arrived. One of the men who was shot later died at the hospital. Police say the 29-year-old died following surgery. The other gunshot victims are said to have “non-life-threatening” injuries.
All of the gunshot victims were attending a gathering at the time of the shooting, according to a New Rochelle Police spokesperson.

Police found two .223 casings near the crime scene.
Just an hour later, cops were again called to the scene of more gunfire, this time near 361 Main St. Police say an unidentified suspect had fired shots from the courtyard of a public housing building, hitting windows on the third, fourth and fifth floors.

Ten .9mm shell casings were found in the courtyard by police.
Investigators say they are not yet sure if the overnight shootings are connected.
Earlier in the weekend, police were called to a report of gunshots being fired at a moving pickup truck near Union Avenue and Fourth Street. There were no reports of injuries in this shooting which occurred just after midnight on Saturday morning.
New Rochelle police and the Westchester County District Attorney’s Office are investigating the shootings. Anyone with information about the weekend’s violence is asked to call 914-654-2300.
