Out of the Blue Returns to New Rochelle March 22nd
Oxford's Award-Winning A Cappella Group on U.S. Tour

Out Of The Blue, Oxford’s all-male a capella sensation, returns to New Rochelle to perform a live concert at New Rochelle High School on Friday, March 22nd at 7:30 pm. The group -- semi-finalists on Britain’s Got Talent who set the internet on fire with their all-vocal versions of “Hips Don’t Lie” and “All I Want for Christmas is You” – is on a tour of the U.S. Tickets for the New Rochelle performance cost $20 and are available at the door or in advance from www.nredfund.org. The performance is being sponsored by the New Rochelle Fund for Educational Excellence and the New Rochelle Council on the Arts.
The group will also appear briefly at Alvin & Friends Restaurant (14 Memorial Highway, New Rochelle) on Thursday, March 21st at 7:30 pm, and in a surprise pop-up performance some time on Friday morning as well.
Out Of The Blue is Oxford's premier all-male a cappella group, and the top a cappella group in the UK by number of championships. (Their viral video hits have received over 16 million views on YouTube.) Founded in 2000, the student-run group is comprised of students from Oxford University and Oxford Brookes University. Out of the Blue has performed on the West End and on Broadway, opened for Wyclef Jean and for Weird Al in Montreal. reached the semifinals of Britain's Got Talent, put on the highest grossing non-professional show at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and toured around the world to places including Switzerland, Canada, India, Hong Kong, and Japan.

As part of their mission they regularly donate and create charity singles to benefit Helen & Douglas House Hospice, which provides palliative, respite, end-of-life, and bereavement care for children and young adults, and their families. In addition to donating all of their profits to Helen & Douglas House, Out of the Blue regularly visits the hospice during term time to sing to the families and staff. With millions of fans -- their viral video “Hips Don’t Lie” had more than five million views and got a Tweet from Shakira herself -- there is no doubt that a cappella is hot!
