Ray Rice Wants Back into Pro Football, Pledges to Donate Salary

The former Balitmore Raven said he would give to domestic violence prevention groups.

NEW ROCHELLE, NY — Former Baltimore Ravens running back and New Rochelle native Ray Rice wants to be playing football again and has pledged to give his entire 2016 salary to domestic violence prevention organizations.

In a USA Today article by Tom Pelissero, Rice said he wanted to do something from his heart and to make it right for his children and the people who believed in him.

Rice was cut by the Baltimore Ravens and suspended by the league after video footage of the February 2014 domestic violence incident between Rice and his now wife Janay Palmer.

Rice was initially suspended for two games, and entered an accelerated rehabilitation program in New Jersey where the incident took place.
