Real Estate Mogul Herbert Platzner Dies At 94
He once owned the New Rochelle railroad station.

NEW ROCHELLE, NY — A man who was once one of the largest land owners in New Rochelle died Saturday. Herbert Platzner passed away in his New Rochelle home at the age of 94. He was a member of Platzner International Group, which was founded by his father.
In 1968, Platzner successfully outbid New Rochelle for the city’s railroad station, owning it until 1981, the Journal News said.
For more than 50 years, Platzner managed or owned co-ops and condo units in Westchester.
