Seeking Children for The Nutcracker in New Rochelle
THE AJKUN BALLET THEATRE IS SEEKING CHILDREN TO PERFORM IN THE NUTCRACKER ALONGSIDE THE AJKUN BALLET THEATRE'S PROFESSIONAL COMPANY.
Looking for Children ages 3- 13 years old, with or without previous experience, to perform as Polchinelles, Party Guests or Mice.
Dance students ages 7-18 years old may Try-Out on Saturday, October 13, 2018 for the roles of Clara, Mouse King, Soldier, Spanish, Arabian, etc.
Classes take place at Isaac Y. Middle School Dance Studio, 270 Centre Ave, New Rochelle, NY 10805 on Saturdays October 13, 20, 27, & November 3, 10, 17, 2018

Performances take place at NRHS, Whitney Theater, 265 Clove Rd, New Rochelle, NY 10801 on Friday, November 30, 2018 at 7 pm and Saturday, December 1, 2018 at 2 pm AND at 7 pm

ABOUT THE AJKUNBT YOUNG DANCERS PROGRAM
The program was conceived in 2007 by the New Rochelle Public School District Arts Chairperson and Ajkun Ballet Theatre’s Artistic Director to increase awareness in the Arts and complement Dance Education for Children in Westchester County.
Since its inception, over 2, 000 children have participated in the AjkunBT’s Young Dancers program in New Rochelle. There are two annual sessions: fall/winter and spring.
Participants in the program have performed character roles with Ajkun Ballet Theatre at the Lincoln Center, Alvin Ailey Theater, the New York State National Tour, and have gained admission in many Public School’s Art Programs and Colleges.
The Ajkun Ballet Theatre, a professional company performing internationally with roots in New Rochelle, NY, offers this program tuition free.
