Severe Thunderstorm Warning Issued For Southern Westchester

WESTCHESTER COUNTY, NY — The National Weather Service reports severe thunderstorms are on the way to parts of Southern Westchester County.

The severe thunderstorm warning is in effect until 6:30 p.m.

Damaging winds and continuous cloud to ground lightning are occurring with these storms. Move indoors immediately. Remember, if you can hear thunder, you are close enough to be struck by
lightning, the agency warns.

For your protection, move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building.
