HUDSON VALLEY, NY — A severe thunderstorm watch is in effect for parts of the Hudson Valley. The National Weather Service said the watch is in effect until 4 p.m. Thursday.

The counties under the watch are Westchester and Rockland.

The area continues to be under a wind advisory until 8 p.m. Thursday.

West winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 45 mph are expected.
