Thunderstorms, Hail Possible In Hudson Valley
The National Weather Service said there could be damaging wind gusts as well.

HUDSON VALLEY, NY — A cold front moving through the region Friday will set off some showers and thunderstorms. Because of that, the National Weather Service has issued hazardous weather outlooks for much of the Hudson Valley.
Columbia, Dutchess and Ulster counties have a chance of thunderstorms Friday afternoon into early evening.
There is a marginal risk for severe thunderstorms with large hail and damaging winds. Locally heavy rain is also possible with any thunderstorms across the area that could cause ponding of water on roadways and standing water in low-lying areas as well as isolated flash flooding.

For Orange, Putnam, Rockland and Westchester counties, a backdoor cold front moving across the area Friday afternoon into early evening will result in numerous showers and thunderstorms. There is the potential for localized flash flooding across the entire area.
There is a marginal risk for severe weather, with the main threat is damaging wind gusts.
