NEW ROCHELLE, NY — A 16-inch water pipe cracked due to the cold Wednesday, causing thousands of gallons of water to flow through the surrounding streets and onto train tracks.

The water main break happened on Bridge Street by the Metro-North station in New Rochelle, News 12 reported.

Roadways buckled under the pressure of the gushing water, and several streets were closed, including Huguenot and Division streets and Memorial Highway.
