WCBS-TV Newsman John Slattery of New Rochelle Dies at 63
Slattery worked for WCBS-TV for three decades.

Four-time Emmy Award-winning television journalist John Slattery of WCBS-TV died in his home in New Rochelle Thursday, the station announced. A visible fixture on the New York news scene, he was 63.
Slattery worked for WCBS-TV for three decades and reported such stories as “the attack on the World Trade Center, the ’miracle on the Hudson’ US Airways flight 1549 water landing, the crash of US Air Flight 5050 and the December 1994 subway explosion,” among countless others.
The New York Times reported the cause death was a heart attack.
