18-Year-Old Arraigned Over August Shooting In Nyack
The incident is still being investigated by the Orangetown Police Department and the Rockland County District Attorney's Office.
NYACK, NY — An 18-year-old was arraigned Thursday over the shooting death of an Illinois man in Nyack on Aug. 23.
Collyer R. Goodman of Valley Cottage, NY, was arraigned yesterday in Rockland County Court, Rockland County District Attorney Tom Walsh announced.
Goodman had been indicted by a Rockland County Grand Jury earlier for the shooting death of Darien Brydie, 21, of Chicago.

Brydie was in a car with Goodman in the parking lot of Nyack Plaza when he was shot, police said. He was pronounced dead at Montefiore Nyack Hospital.
The Honorable Judge Kevin Russo presided over the arraignment. Goodman was charged with Manslaughter 2nd (felony) and Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2nd (felony).

"Far too often in this bizarre year, we have to report another tragic loss of life," Walsh said. "Our sympathies go out to the grieving family of Mr. Brydie."
Goodman is due back in court Oct. 14.
