Super 8 to Open 1 Day Early, Thursday, at IMAX

In an unusual move Paramount Pictures will open Super 8 early in a handful of theatres. IMAX Theatre at Palisades Center will be the only theatre in Rockland and Orange County where people can go a day early to see the highly anticipated film.

Super 8 is rated PG-13 and is 1 hour and 50 minutes long.   Tickets can be purchased on line for Thursday's shows at noon, 2:20, 4:45, 7:05 and 9:35 by visiting www.imax.com/palisades.

In the summer of 1979, a group of friends in a small Ohio town witness a catastrophic train crash while making a super 8 movie and soon suspect that it was not an accident. Shortly after, unusual disappearances and inexplicable events begin to take place in town, and the local Deputy tries to uncover the truth - something more terrifying than any of them could have imagined.

For those who want to be the first to see Transformers; Dark of the Moon or the final Harry Potter movie, those tickets are also on sale at IMAX Palisades for the 11:59 PM July 14th opening of Transformers and the June 28th 11:59 PM showing of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2. Both films are 3D.
