Autobahn At Palisades Center Marks International Go Kart Week

Want to burn off some excess energy? The speedway has adjusted for pandemic protocols: watch.

WEST NYACK, NY — International Go Kart Week is Sept. 20-26, and this may be the year to burn off some excess energy with the family.

Autobahn Indoor Speedway & Events at the Palisades Center is celebrating with promotions including free race clinics, all-you-can race, and other daily specials.

Clarkstown Councilman Donald Franchino is a fan.

"Go Kart Week is celebrated all over the world, and we're fortunate enough to be able to experience it in our own backyard," he said. "During this difficult period, the week-long Autobahn celebration is a way for people to unwind, have fun and interact with loved ones."

If you've never been, you may not know that the high-tech, speedy karts at the speedway in Rockland are cleaner, smoother, and faster accelerating than the gas karts most people think of, Wagner said.

"International Go Kart Week provides us the opportunity to make indoor, e-karting more accessible than ever," he said. "If you don't hurry, though, you might miss it because this week, appropriately, goes by extra fast."
