The adaptive swimming pool complex in West Nyack was constructed following a 2017 countywide referendum, approved with more than 88% of voters in favor of the project. Dr. Marsico first envisioned, and then successfully brought to fruition the complex, which will bear her name and benefit Rockland BOCES students for generations to come.
The high-tech, indoor therapy and fitness pools are designed to improve mobility, build confidence, increase health and wellness, and will teach children with special needs to be safe around water. We congratulate Dr. Marsico on her countless accomplishments, and we recognize and thank her for her unfailing commitment to Rockland BOCES, the tens of thousands of students who have called Rockland BOCES their home, and for her unfailing commitment to the well-being of the Rockland County community.
