The Byne Group Launches “Give a Sock! Spread the Warmth.”

Holiday Promotion to Raise Awareness and Give Back When It Matters Most

Montebello, NY (November 27, 2018) — The Byne Group, a Hudson Valley based integrated marketing agency with a long-standing commitment of giving back to the community, introduces a new holiday initiative that will collect much-needed socks for the homeless. After learning that socks were the most requested item at homeless shelters, but the least donated, The Byne Group decided on a dedicated effort to collect as many socks as possible over a three-week period. In partnership with the Nyack Homeless Project, a non-profit volunteer group that collects food and clothing to aid those in need during the cold days of winter, The Byne Group will encourage co-workers, colleagues, clients, friends, and family to donate white, cotton crew socks.

Collection bins will be strategically placed throughout Rockland County including Dominican College’s Rotaract Club, The Connection Center at Rockland Community College, the Suffern Free Library, the Sloatsburg Public Library, Town of Clarkstown’s Town Hall, and at the Montebello Mansion, The Byne Group’s headquarters. Thanks to Amazon’s “wish list” feature, those that want to contribute to the cause, can simply click on http://bit.ly/GiveASock to purchase socks and have them sent directly to The Byne Group. For every pair of socks donated during the three-week period (11/26/18-12/14/18), The Byne Group will match it and then all socks will be handed over to the Nyack Homeless Project for distribution.

“As we celebrate the holidays and take stock in how fortunate we are, it is important to everyone at The Byne Group that we pay it forward and give back locally. It was eye-opening to learn the impact of a pair of clean, dry, well-fitting socks and we felt strongly about sharing this information and inspiring others to help. We look forward to the community response and seeing how many socks we can collect,” said Melissa Lipovsky, Vice President and Creative Director at The Byne Group.

“All of us at Nyack Homeless Project appreciate the support and additional community outreach. Every pair of socks makes a difference and this promotion will help not just collect socks, but help spread the word about our organization and highlight the importance of a clean pair of socks,” said Litany Burns, Founding Director of Nyack Homeless Project.
