ROCKLAND COUNTY, NY — It's almost time again for the Traveling Chanukah Celebration in Rockland County. Seventy-five “menorah-mobiles” - vehicles with menorahs mounted on top - will parade through Rockland County Dec. 22, the first night of Chanukah.

The festivities will begin at a Monsey synagogue at 6:15 pm with the Menorah parade lineup. The parade will travel down routes 59 and 87 East before culminating with a celebration at the Palisades Center Mall from 7-8 p.m., including a public menorah lighting, dancing, donuts and entertainment for the kids. All segments of the celebration are open to the public and free.

"The goal of the parade and menorah lighting is to share the joyous spirit of Chanukah, to instill Jewish pride and unity, and to bring more light into the world,” said Rabbi Shmuel Dubinsky, a rabbinical student who helped organize the project.
