A 10-ft long adult Risso’s dolphin that is believed to have been seen swimming up and down the Hudson River Memorial Day weekend, was found dead.  Â
According to NBC New York, officials said it is extraordinarily rare for the animal, found in Haverstraw Bay by a boater, to have been that far north. Officials are performing tests on the deceased dolphin to determine the cause of death. Â
