Don't Miss: New York Air Show Aug. 29-30 in New Windsor

It's a quick trip to Stewart International Airport for demonstrations, exhibits, displays, simulators and more in the air and on the ground!

There will be plenty to see on the ground and in the air August 29-30 during the New York Air Show at Stewart International Airport in New Windsor.

The display and exhibit area will encompass more than 50 acres on the south side of Stewart International Airport, featuring military and civilian aircraft as well as exhibits, displays, simulators and more.

It will be the only air show in the country to feature a military Combat Search and Rescue Mission demonstration this year, giving spectators a close look at how U.S. troops are rescued when they are behind enemy lines.

New York’s own 106th Air National Guard Rescue Wing will showcase the precision it takes to carry out their dangerous missions. The demonstration will feature the HH-60 Pavehawk helicopter and a team of Pararescue Jumpers (PJs). This unit is based in Westhampton Beach, New York and can be mobilized to go anywhere in the world at a moment’s notice.

“The 106th Air National Guard Rescue Wing is one of the most decorated search-and-rescue units in the world,” said Orange County Executive Steven M. Neuhaus. “They play a key role in keeping our military safe. We are excited to add the 106th Air National Guard Rescue Wing to an already impressive lineup at the air show.”

The general public can experience a limited number of rides in Panchito for a $425 donation to the Delaware Aviation Museum Foundation.
