H2M architects + engineers (H2M) is proud to announce that effective immediately, Westchester County resident James Roberts, P.E., Senior Vice President, will be taking on an expanded role with the company as the Office Director for the Suffern, NY office while retaining his position as Water/Wastewater Market Director.

Mr. Roberts joined the firm in 2016 and has brought more than 30 years of experience as an accomplished professional, responsible for the operations and maintenance of New York City’s water supply, distribution, wastewater collection, and stormwater management systems.

H2M’s President and CEO, Richard Humann, P.E. stated that “Since Jim has joined H2M, the company has benefitted from Jim’s stewardship, passion for our clients, commitment to our people, and extensive knowledge and experience. I am appreciative of Jim’s can-do attitude and willingness to take on this added responsibility.”

In this new role, Jim will be assisting the Suffern team to grow and diversify in staff and services provided for all of the markets that H2M is involved in, especially in his area of expertise: Water and Wastewater.

Jim will continue in his role as Water/Wastewater Market Director for H2M, where he is responsible for managing the Market, including the design and management of major water supply projects, while developing client relationships within the firm’s water supply and wastewater practices.

Jim is a graduate of Manhattan College with a B.S. in Civil Engineering. He holds a Professional Engineer license in New York and has been actively involved with numerous organizations dedicated to the environment and profession, serving in leadership roles including:

  • Chairperson of the NYS American Water Works Association (NYSAWWA)Water Utility Council
  • Former Trustee with NYSAWWA
  • Former Member of New York Water Environment Association’s (NYWEA) Utility Executive Group
